What is your recommendation concerning a single-agent system?

1. A detailed analysis of the operating characteristics of the reservation system with one agent as proposed by the vice president of administration. What is your recommendation concerning a single-agent system?
2. A detailed analysis of the operating characteristics of the reservation system based on your recommendation regarding the number of agents Regional should use.
3. A detailed analysis of the advantages or disadvantages of the expanded system. Discuss the number of waiting callers the expanded system would need to accommodate.
4. This report represents a pilot study of the reservation system for the 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. time period during which an average of one call arrives every 4.75 minutes; however, the arrival rate of incoming calls is expected to change from hour to hour. Describe how your waiting line analysis could be used to develop a ticket agent staffing plan that would enable the company to provide different levels of staffing for the ticket reservation system at different times during the day. Indicate the information that you would need to develop this staffing plan.
Please also upload an Excel file to show your analytics. In other words, you submit an Excel file and a Word file.

Write up your results in a formal report to hatco management.

The Excel file HATCO consists of data related to predicting the level of business (Usage Level) obtained from a survey of purchasing managers of customers of an industrial supplier, HATCO.
The following are the independent variables.
• Delivery Speed —amount of time it takes to deliver the product once an order is confirmed.
• Price Level —perceived level of price charged by product suppliers.
• Price Flexibility —perceived willingness of HATCO representatives to negotiate price on all types of purchases.
• Manufacturing Image —overall image of the manufacturer or supplier.
• Overall Service—overall level of service necessary for maintaining a satisfactory relationship between supplier and purchaser.
• Sales Force Image —overall image of the manufacturer’s sales force.
• Product Quality —perceived level of quality of a particular product.
• Size of Firm—size relative to others in this market (0 = small; 1 = large).
Responses to the first seven variables were obtained using a graphic rating scale, where a 10‐cm line was drawn between endpoints labeled “poor” and “excellent.”
Respondents indicated their perceptions using a mark on the line, which was measured from the left endpoint. The result was a scale from 0 to 10 rounded to one decimal place.
Using the tools in this chapter, conduct a complete analysis to predict Usage Level. Be sure to investigate the impact of the categorical variable Size of Firm (coded as 0 for small firms and 1 for large firms) and possible interactions. Also stratify the data by firm size to account for any differences between small and large firms. Write up your results in a formal report to HATCO management.

Explain your rationale for each model you run.

You just launched your Analytics Advisory Company. A prior mentor, Susan Sulpizio, saw your launch announcement and asked for your help.
Susan owns a mid-sized business with ~500 employees. She takes pride in offering employment opportunity to a diverse range of individuals and valuing their education and experience. An employee has claimed that the company pays lower salaries to minority groups. Susan’s analyst who was working on the data analysis for her board presentation on this matter was upset and resigned over the weekend.
The analyst calculated a $5700 difference (~21%) in compensation between the average minority group employee relative to the average employee. The basic data has been reliably pulled from the ERP system. The analyst has left some sparse notes about the variables he calculated the overall averages. You should verify the analysts work and may need to correct errors. See attached.
You have 4 hours to help Susan. You need to provide her with:
A memo (1-2 pages, pdf format best) addressing, at a minimum:
Is the firm systematically underpaying minority employee groups? Explain any differences in your answer from the analyst.
Does the data support Susan’s intuition that the firm values the education and experience of its employees? Does the data suggest 1-2 other systematic trends that are relevant for Susan? Make (data-supported) recommendations appropriate for the salary policy of this firm.
To generate your next engagement with Susan, list 1-2 other hypotheses about salary policy you could help her test in the future (after board presentation). You just need to list the hypotheses and the data required – I don’t expect you to find the data or run the actual regressions.
An excel file with annotations showing the analyses that are critical to your insights in #1.
Please explain your model(s) and any hypotheses on the sign of the coefficients. Explain your rationale for each model you run.
Conduct the usual statistical checks that would be expected – and comment on the outcomes
The date sets have been uploaded.
Remember
Part 1 is 1-2 pages of annotations
Part 2 is the excel.

Excel workbook that should consists of a tab (with some data, not all data at this stage) for each of the following:

THIS ASSIGNEMENT IS THE CONTINUATION OF ATTACHED ASSIGNMENT BELOW NAMED: MY Final Project Proposal Continue this workbook. TELL A STORY OF THE DATA SET INFORMATION IN ATTACHED WORKBOOK ABOUT Contiguous U.S. June – August Average Temperature Anomaly (degrees F)
Final Project Content
At this point, students will present a “work-in-progress draft.” Excel workbook that should consists of a tab (with some data, not all data at this stage) for each of the following:
-All data – best displayed as Excel Spreadsheets making up ONE Excel Woorkbook.
-PIVOT Table
Pivot Charts/Graphs (3-5)
-Data Dashboard – best example is Business Intelligence Tools : https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/
-A form with Lookup Functions – these may be live clicks or hyperlinks to other data, other spreadsheets, etc.
-At least one MACRO function – a basic MACRO function may be a “button” that brings the discussion to another data page or source.
This “Rough Draft” is recognizably a work-in-progress – a presentation that helps organize and work toward the final presentation. The Excel workbook will be used as the base to build your presentation. You will use it as a basis to tell a story about your data. I INCLUDED AN EXAMPLE OF ANOTHER CLASSMATES: Final Project proposal example.

Potential Outline for the Presentation:
-Cover Slide
Agenda Slide (table of contents if you will – what will you be discussing?)
-One slide for each visualization/lookup function, macro, etc… (Approximately 12-15) -Closing slide (wrap up your presentation, tell them what you told them, and discuss any future potential data analysis that may develop from this presentation. -Questions slide (Any questions? Provide contact info for those viewing the presentation later) -References slide (List in APA format – at least 4-5 scholarly references, one should be your textbook)

Double spaced apa format, font size 12 and times new roman.

Note: You may carry out the individual project either using Microsoft Excel or R/RStudio or Python.
Following are the instructions for submission of the individual semester wide project in the form of a report:
Double spaced APA format, font size 12 and Times New Roman. Report must be a minimum of 10 pages with no maximum page limits
1. Introduction and background of problem, source(s) of data set(s), how you collected the data, description of data set(s) and description of variables used to answer the problem statement. You may create a table with variable names and their description or include the variable names and description as bullet points. You are also expected to use some theoretical background or information systems research theory for the research questions (although not required but recommended, may use library resources or Google scholar to search for information systems theories). (minimum 2 pages, no maximum limit).
2.Description of technique applied to the data set(s) to answer the questions / problems. You may use any of the technique(s) we covered in the class or may also use a data analytic technique(s) from outside the syllabus as long as you have proper understanding of the technique and can justify its usage to solving the problem (minimum 2 pages, no maximum limit). You may also use a combination of supervised and unsupervised techniques as well. For example, clustering followed by linear regression. Also, you may use more than one data source/data set, to propose research question(s) and analyze the data set(s)to find answer(s) to proposed research question(s).
3. Results and interpretation of results. You must include some graphs, figures, Excel/R outputs here. You are not required to include detailed Excel steps or R programming code in this section. You are expected to explain your results (whether they support the research question(s) or not), based on the chosen theory/theories. (minimum 1 page, no maximum limit).
